Love people to comment on some of my new work - a little different and more abstract but still macro photography.

Focusing on the fine art photography market.

Light

Experiment with light. Light the front, then the back, maybe the sides. Play around with the exposure of your SLR at the same time. Exactly what I did with this image - it's still one of my favs to this day.

Look at your flower or subject in a different way. Shoot from underneath or experiment with depth of field. Try to different from other photographer. What makes you different? Let's be honest we need to stand out from the crowd, right?

The Legend begins

macro photography, photography, paul hamilton
Well, I received wonderful publicity this week. Adorned the front cover of the The Weekender - see photo. Hope it's the start of a new and exciting adventure.
Macro HOT TIP: Focus on just one part of the flower and allow the foliage to blur into an effective background.
